#7 Bandung City: The Ocean of Fire

Friday, March 26th, 2010

bandung-lautan-api-kagumi-bandung-07The 24th of March marks one of the most famous days in the long history of Bandung as a city. It was an event so historically important that a national song was written about it–a song that is often sung in numerous official and ceremonial events all over Indonesia. The 24th of March, 1946, was the day of “Bandung Lautan Api”, or Bandung in the Ocean of Fire.

#3 Bandung Culture: Jaipong Dance

Saturday, March 20th, 2010

kagumi-bandung-jaipong-dance-02Perhaps to call posts like this “Bandung Culture” is not entirely appropriate, since it is actually “Sundanese” culture and the word Bandung itself does not really belong to the same category as Sundanese or Javanese. Nevertheless, since Sundanese culture is the most dominant culture in Bandung, I think it is not entirely inappropriate name after all… so I will be continue doing it for a while. #6 This Blog: the obnoxious spams

Thursday, March 18th, 2010

kagumi-bandung-spamI suppose it’s to be expected since they are, unfortunately, something that cannot be expelled entirely from the blogging world (or even the Internet itself, for that matter), but damn spams are annoying… exquisitely so. To receive news that your blog gets a hundred comments only to find that 99 of them are spams promoting genital enlargement or whatever is a huge irritation.

Even more annoying is when those spams exhibited illegible strings of sentences constructed with seemingly random selection of words and characters. I am still relatively new to the world of blogosphere and hardly an authority on the matter, but I am fairly certain that there are a lot of blog writers out there who are not too happy with the spammers and their junk messages. To spammers out there: get a life, ‘kay?

ps: two spams arrived as I write this piece, hahaha.

The Hotel contains quite a a few of them, with some facilities are naturally featured more dominantly than others due to Golden Flower’s main focus as a Convention Hotel. If you can find anything that suits your needs here, it’s not a bad idea to give this Hotel a try.

#7 KAGUM Hotels: Golden Flower Hotel Bandung (Part One)

Monday, March 15th, 2010

golden-flower-hotel-bandungI do not know why I refrain myself of posting this (more of a subconscious reasoning I do not fully comprehend?) in this blog, but here it is at last: Golden Flower Hotel Bandung. The most recent and–in terms of overall size–the biggest Hotel property owned by KAGUM Hotels. This post going to be dedicated to provide you various kinds of information about the Hotel so that you may have a better understanding about one of the proudest KAGUM Hotels’ establishments in Bandung.
