Situ LembangI am on a roll with Bandung Tourism Spots segments right now. But why not? It’s not exactly a secret that Bandung has a strong allure for visitors vying to explore its tourism potential, so why not I help in that regard even for just a bit? For now, I want to talk a bit about a very famous tourism area is by large almost always get linked with the world of Bandung Tourism. That place is Lembang.

Lembang is located in the western part of Bandung, and situated around 1312 to 2064 meters above sea level. Famous as one of the must-visit tourist destinations in the city, Lembang offers a chance to experience many things that have grown increasingly rare in today’s fast-paced modernized society:a serene ambiance, tranquil atmosphere, and a breath of fresh air.

Lembang’s strongest feature lies in its relatively unsoiled natural beauty, making it a perfect escapade for those wishing to get away from the usual noises of everyday life. Lembang hosts a number of attractive places to visit: amongst them, for example, is Maribaya. It features a beautiful 30 meters tall waterfall vista supplemented with enchanting natural surroundings; Maribaya is also known for its hot-spring baths. Another place that you should chance yourself in visiting is Bosscha Observatory, the oldest observatory in Indonesia that has stood proud since 1928. It is a place not only rich in historical value but educational as well: a perfect leisure facility for families and the like.

Other places of interest in or near Lembang that you can visit are: Curug Cimahi (“Curug” translates to waterfall), Situ Lembang (a manmade lake inside the valley between Burangrang and Tangkuban Perahu Mountain), or if you want to experience a little bit of adventurous fun you can try Paintball War Simulation in the village of Cikole. There is no shortage of things to do while in Lembang, and with a temperature that typically wavers in between 17-25 degrees Celcius, you would be hard pressed to find a better place where you can just relax and enjoy all the beautiful scenery.
