#3 Bandung Tourism Spots: Dago
If there is a list named “places in Bandung everybody knows about”, then Dago should be either somewhere at the top or even at the very top of the list. It is one of the places in Bandung that have enjoyed the privilege of continuous spotlight and publicity as far as Bandung tourism is concerned, and such occurrence happened not without a good reason.
Aside from its very strategic location and ease of access either in or out, Dago also features a wide assortment of dining, shopping, and entertainment facilities, making it a very ideal ‘one-stop’ destination for any Bandung visitors looking for some good fun. Various restaurants such as Heritage Café, Dakken Café, Riung Sari, City Café, Pagoda Resto, Kampoeng Aceh, Pondok Balubur, Dapur Cobek, Sindang Reret, or Pagoda Resto are available for your adventurous journey of culinary delight. Shopping enthusiasts would undeniably be pleased with the availability of numerous Factory Outlets throughout the street: Coconela, Grande, Jetset, Blossom, Donatello, and Raffles City are just some of the fashion shop available here.
Meanwhile, anyone wanting to experience a more ‘cultured’ kind of vacation can opt to visit Museum Geologi (Geological Museum) or Museum Pos Indonesia (Indonesian Post Museum.) For some truly traditional kind of entertainment (which doesn’t make it any less entertaining than any of the other ‘modern’ mediums), Taman Budaya Jawa Barat (West Java Culture Park) can be an excellent choice to pick since it is a venue often used for traditional Sundanese art displays or shows. Dago Pakar is also a popular choice for visitors that favor a more natural touch: hiking or any other outdoor related activities can be accommodated here. In short, there is something for everybody here in Dago.
