Banana Inn Hotel & Spa BandungOn the second part of my post about Banana Inn Hotel & Spa Bandung, I am going to take a look around the Hotel’s facilities. As I have said before, the staffs were thankfully accommodating, and the Hotel itself was relatively void of guests during my visit there. I could take pictures more freely without having to worry about people looking at me in a weird way that much.

The journey began from the lobby, and all around the Hotel.

Banana Inn Hotel & Spa BandungFirst of all: the lobby. Maybe it’s just me, but I though the lobby managed to evoke a breezy and relaxing atmosphere. Perhaps it was the lack of people that day, but the overall quiet ambiance in the lobby worked for me: hell, I even found myself quite tempted to just jump on a couch nearby and sleep there. There’s nothing much in the lobby except for a small handicraft shop and an array of sofas, creating a wide, spacious space that was actually not that bad. What I liked about the lobby was that, unlike in Grand Seriti, it’s connected straight to the Karaoke, the Restaurant, and also the Swimming Pool, making it easy for guests to travel about the premises.

As for the swimming pool, it was—how should I say this—nice. The Hotel billed itself as a “Semi-Resort Hotel in the heart of the city”, and of all the facilities available in Banana Inn Hotel & Spa Bandung, the swimming pool evoked the feeling of a resort the best. I cannot describe it well with words, so perhaps it’d be better if you just look at the photos so that you can (hopefully) see for yourselves what I’m getting at here.

Banana Inn Hotel & Spa BandungNear the swimming pool there’s a small place the Hotel staffs called “Kids Zone”, although in all honesty it’s not so much of a zone–rather, it’s just a small place… it’s adequate enough, I suppose, but nothing to really write home about. Right next to it there’s a Fitness Facility called “Kiwi.” Not that big, it’s decent enough. From there, also right next to the swimming pool, was the entrance to the Hotel’s primary dining facility, the B’Leaf Café (more like a restaurant than a Café, but it doesn’t really matter either way.) The place was nice, spacious, and comfortable, with the room seemingly designed to accommodate natural lighting (i.e. the sun) as much as possible.

Banana Inn Hotel & Spa BandungA quick walk from there (since everything was connected in a circular fashion) allowed me to reach the Hotel’s Karaoke Facility. Unfortunately, however, by the time I got there, the place had just opened so aside from the attendant, there’s practically no one there. I am not a Karaoke aficionado in any way, shape, or form, so I did not take too many pictures here but for what it’s worth, at least the Hotel has a Karaoke service available. I suppose the facilities they put there was more than enough for an enjoyable time, but for all of you Karaoke maniacs out there, don’t take my word for it (instead, see it for yourself!)

The Spa facility, however, was very nice. One of the Hotel staffs told me that the Spa was originally named “Buddha Spa”, but due the protests the name generated from Buddhist practitioners, the name was finally renamed to a rather generic–but safe–one: “Banana Spa.” The Spa was not that big, but the rooms themselves were very—once again, I should use the term ‘how should I say this’—cozy and homely. I especially liked the Couple’s room, and if you are looking for a way to spend a good time together with your loved one in Bandung, this might be the answer: the room provoked an intimate but nevertheless friendly and casual atmosphere, perfect for a couple to spend time together.

The facilities were fine, the staffs were friendly, and the overall atmosphere was appropriate enough for a decent relaxing time. The price they charged for their rooms was a bit on the expensive side, however. If you ever find yourself visiting Bandung, this Hotel might be a good place for you to choose.

Should you want to gather more information about this Hotel, you may want to visit their website through here. You can also post comments in this blog if you want to ask a specific question about the Hotel, or even if you want to perhaps reserve a room here. I’m here to help :)
