#2 KAGUM Hotels: Banana Inn Hotel & Spa Bandung (Part One)
This is the second part of my KAGUM Hotels series of post. I must address once again that although I am trying to be as objective as possible in this post, my own admittedly inexperience of writing a ‘proper’ review of any kind–and the fact that I am employed at the company that owns the Hotel–may result in what you might perceive as bias in my writing. Just be mindful about the fact that what I feel about this Hotel may be different with you or any other guests staying in this Hotel. Don’t take my word as gospel, is all.
The second guest of my KAGUM Hotels series of posts is: Banana Inn Hotel & Spa Bandung.
Banana Inn Hotel & Spa Bandung is located in Setiabudhi Street Number 191, and situated directly before the path that goes directly straight to the famous region of Lembang. Honestly speaking, what first attracted me and grabbed my attention was the unique name itself: I mean, what kind of people would actually name their Hotel with a name such as Banana? Such a gimmicky name….. but hey, what do you know? The name may be just a gimmick, but as it worked in piquing my interest perhaps it could also work on many others: catching attention is, after all, the first step in creating customers. Although of course, a name–no matter how unique–can only carry a Hotel so far… in this aspect, for me anyways, Banana Inn Hotel & Spa Bandung has managed to produce a decent showing in their rooms and facilities.

My first impression as I walked to the Hotel’s lobby was that the place really exuded out a very laid-back resort-like atmosphere. Not very grandeur or formal… just, relaxed. ‘Informal’ may not be the correct term per se, but that is perhaps the term that described my feelings about the Hotel the best.
After a quick chit-chat that I was there to take a look around at their Hotel, I was escorted to the room. The room itself was okay, with a pleasant cozy atmosphere suitable for a good session of rest and relaxation. I did not take too many pictures on the room itself however, only a few, but I hope they would be enough for you to get a rough picture about what the insides of the room looked like. If you want to see more pictures, you can either go to the Hotel’s main website or their Flickr account.

On my next post I will show you some pictures I took as I traveled around the Hotel’s premises. Fortunately, the Hotel staffs were nice enough to allow me taking photos of their Hotels without any disturbance, and the Hotel itself was not that full during my time there so I did not bother people…. much (hahaha.) See you at my next post.
